This position supports the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Deputy Commander (DC), Total Force/Corporate Operations (SEA 10). NAVSEA is the Department of Navy's (DON's) central activity for designing, engineering, integrating, building, and procuring U.S. Naval ships, shipboard weapons, and combat systems. NAVSEA's responsibilities also include the maintenance, repair, modernization, and conversion of in-service ships and their weapons and combat systems.
The candidate will provide analytical support to the headquarters' Human Resources Office (DCHRO). DCHRO is an operational office providing services to HQs, PEOs, and General Fund Field Activities, which encompasses over 6,000 customers.
The HRO provides services in the areas of staffing, classification, labor and employee relations, training and development, Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) performance and pay administration, Permanent Change of Station (PCS), Drug Testing Programs, awards and other related services.
The HRO provides professional services to hiring managers, supervisors, and employees in the HR disciplines listed above.


Duties and responsibilities include:
Prepare reports, data analysis, and findings in the form of charts, briefing materials, and analysis narrative.
Collect, synthesize, and analyze a wide array of data input, including: staffing plan inputs; predicted attrition analytics; return on investment data for events; diversity goals and gaps; career field competency needs assessments; and related organizational health assessments and trends.
Provide recommendations or information for decision-making.
Participate in ad hoc, recurring, or other project-based work, as assigned.
Write summaries and reports.
Develop presentation materials.
Work with various stakeholders, as needed.


Required Skills:
Proficient Excel skills: pivot tables, charts, analyze and synthesis data
Strong Power Point and Word skills
A team-oriented outlook with outstanding customer service experience.
Strong analytical skills along with discretion in performing specified work requirements
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail with ability to meet tight deadlines, work independently, and with sufficient knowledge, present projects to senior management


Preferred Skills:
3 years of experience collecting, analyzing, and professionally presenting data and trends
Experience in developing PowerPoint briefings and communicating with wide variety of audiences at all levels
Power User in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)


Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, the candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
