Overview

The Senior IP Network Engineer will design and implement IP data and voice networks for the company including LAN, WAN, terrestrial, and satellite hub and remote-site networks.

Responsibilities
    Design and implement IP networks to provide communication services to customers over satellite and/or terrestrial network as per customer requirements.
  • Design, implement, and maintain the company's voice infrastructure. Design voice services for customers per requirements. Configure voice systems for new customer voice services and manage them.
  • Maintain and manage existing networks and provide Tier 3 operational support for production networks.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for all customer services and networks.
  • Provide network engineering solutions to customers through the design and implementation of new networks or improvement of existing networks.
  • Design and implement networks in a lab environment; incorporate new products and/or customer requirements into existing networks.
  • Create new IP network design documents. Update the existing design documents with new design changes.
  • Create work instructions and procedures for creating new networks and for move/add/changes to the network.
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government issued security clearance
  • 8+ years of IP networking experience
  • 5+ years of experience implementing IP networks
  • 5+ years of experience configuring network and voice devices
  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting Tier 3 network issues
  • Demonstrated expertise deploying and troubleshooting encrypted IP network communications
  • Ability to provide support outside normal business hours, when required

Valued but not required skills and experience:

  • CCNP or CCIE
  • IP voice service design, implementation, or operation
  • SD-WAN design, implementation, or operation
  • Public Internet peering and BGP management experience
