System Engineer

Position Summary
DarkStar Intelligence is seeking a Systems Engineer who will apply engineering principles across all life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. The role requires effective communication with government representatives on technical aspects and potential issues, as well as collaboration with program personnel and senior executives. The successful candidate will ensure technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work across multiple process areas as defined by ISO/IEC 15288, including Technical, Project, Enterprise, and Agreement Process Areas.

Note: This position currently requires hours worked to be 10am - 6pm

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct systems engineering tasks and contribute to developing work products across Technical Process Areas as per ISO/IEC 15288.
• Engage in developing and delivering work products spanning any of the ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.
• Analyze technical alternatives for projects and make preliminary recommendations.
• Support systems engineering tasks in the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas.
• Assist in developing and delivering multiple work products across Project and Technical Process Areas under ISO/IEC 15288.
• Independently analyze and suggest alternatives for project technical designs.
• Develop and execute systems engineering tasks, delivering work products within both Agreement and Enterprise Process Areas of ISO/IEC 15288.
• Explore new or innovative approaches to technical or engineering issues and assist in their implementation.
• Evaluate engineering standards and processes to ensure project suitability.
• Oversee or coordinate efforts of other engineering staff involved in the project.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
• Current Full Scope Polygraph
• Experience in systems engineering activities within ISO/IEC 15288 framework.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited institution with ten (10) years of systems engineering experience; or,
• High School Diploma or GED with fourteen (14) years of general systems engineering experience; or,
• Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline with eight (8) years of systems engineering experience; or,
• PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline with eight (8) years of systems engineering experience.
