WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Fors Marsh is seeking a Staff Accountant. This individual would work in our Finance and Accounting department. This job is best suited for an individual with 3-5 years of experience in the Government Contracting industry. The ideal individual will have a positive attitude, enjoy collaboration with a team, and be comfortable with strict deadlines.

Responsibilities include:

Accounts Payable:

*Sends accounts payable report to Director of Accounting for approval of payment.

*Prepares payment for accounts payable in Deltek.

*Investigates all vendor related inquiries.

*Processes Expense Reports and reconciles Company Credit Cards in Deltek Time & Expense.

Accounts Receivable:

*Records electronic deposits to client records.

*Records cash receipts to client records.

Cash and Credit Card accounts:

*Reconciles cash daily.

*Maintains a cash flow reconciliation daily.

*Reconciles bank accounts, credit cards and loans monthly.

*Provides Director of Accounting with reconciliations for review and approval.

Reporting:

*File monthly and quarterly reports with appropriate agencies.

*Enter journal entries as needed.

*Maintain records and work with outside auditors.

*Contract compliance.

Fixed Assets:

*Update fixed assets in asset tracker for additions and deletions.

*Maintain records for fixed asset purchases and disposals.


Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration with a concentration in accounting required.

* 3 -5 years' experience in an accounting position in federal government contracting industry required.

*Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint and Time & Expense required.

* Experience processing journal entries and bank reconciliations is preferred.

*Must be a motivated self-starter with a positive attitude.

*Great team player and able to work under tight timelines and pressure.

*Unwavering attention to detail and superb organizational skills.

*Willingness to listen and learn, with ability to multi-task.

* Candidates must be able to work M-F between 8-5 Eastern time zone to accommodate tight deadlines.

* Must be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to our federal contract requirements.

Salary: $60,000-$70,000

Work Schedule: M-F 8-5 Eastern.

Location: Remote, United States Residents only
