PURPOSE

According to the prescribed policies and procedures and under the general supervision of the Director of Marketing, the Marketing and Events Specialist, is responsible for providing creative and graphic design support, creating compelling content for digital and print collateral/presentations, and assisting in marketing event planning and coordination.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Design visually appealing graphics, including but not limited to social media posts, website banners, digital ads, infographics, and other marketing materials.
  • Develop engaging written content for various marketing channels, including website copy, and email campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and execute creative content ideas that align with brand messaging and marketing goals.
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand voice and style guidelines.
  • Create and update marketing collateral such as brochures, flyers, and presentations.
  • Optimize content and design for both digital and print formats, considering factors such as readability, aesthetics, and printing requirements.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing marketing events, including trade shows, conferences, webinars, Grand Openings, and Open Houses.
  • Coordinate event logistics, such as venue selection, vendor management, budget tracking, and promotional activities.
  • Support the development of event materials, including signage, promotional materials, and presentations.

EXPECTATIONS

  • Ensure brand consistency across all design assets and materials.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and service lines to ensure marketing initiatives are effectively executed.
  • Communicate project updates, timelines, and deliverables to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the process.
  • Must adhere to all policies, procedures, terms and conditions set forth in the National Church Residences' Employee Information Guide (EIG), the Code of Conduct, as well as any facility handbook, including but not limited to, corporate compliance, drug free workplace, safe work practices, all federal, state, local regulations and laws.
  • With respect to Resident Rights, ensures all care is provided with respect and dignity for the residents/clients, their families and the staff. Reports all complaints made by residents/clients and/or families to the appropriate supervisors, reports all allegations of abuse, misappropriation of funds/resident property and/or any other corporate compliance, drug free workplace, safe work practices, all federal, state and local regulations and laws.
  • Completes all annual education requirements timely, including but not limited to Compliance, Privacy, Security and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the Code of Conduct in the performance of their duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATION SHEET- Marketing and Events Specialist

Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, a related field; or equivalent working experience required.

Experience: 3 years' proven experience in graphic design, content creation, and marketing coordination required. Experience with event planning and coordination is a plus.

Skills: Must have good working computer skills with basic professional computer software (Microsoft Office suite, Windows, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and the capacity for learning new software systems quickly. Must be self-directed with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks and assignments concurrently. Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling content for diverse audiences. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. Must have strong motivational skills and a high emotional intelligence quotient (EQ).
