We support our employee's careers and wellbeing, and it shows in their passion and energy. We are seeking a Senior Economist to join our team of innovators, economists, and thought leaders.

The Senior Economist is responsible for working in the Office of the Chief Economist to develop and implement a data-driven thought leadership strategy, providing economic solutions, forecasting models, and analysis and commentary on topics related to residential real estate. The individual will have experience working with large data sets, data visualization, and time series forecasting.

What You'll Do

* Design and develop a data-driven real estate research agenda.

* Develop data sets and economic solutions to forecast trends and analyze various economic and real estate related topics.

* Development, implementation, and interpretation of empirical models for internal and external customers.

* Contribute to the creation of insightful, data-rich reports and presentations that highlight key trends and forecasts in the residential real estate market.

What You'll Bring

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in economic analysis or research, with a preference for candidates with specific expertise in residential real estate economics.

* Knowledge and experience with diverse statistical methods.

* Research, problem solving, and quantitative skills, including the ability to develop data sets and analyze results for the purpose of interpretation for internal and external stakeholders.

* Experience with creating, organizing, analyzing and managing large data sets and using statistical software tools (e.g., R, Python, SQL).

* Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Excel, R, Python) and methodologies, capable of translating complex data into accessible and compelling visual formats.

* Strong background in time series forecasting, with the ability to develop and refine predictive models relevant to the real estate sector.

* Experience in economic forecasting, with a proven track record of accurate and insightful projections.

* Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to think critically and creatively.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex economic concepts to non-expert audiences.

* Experience writing blog posts, research briefs and publication articles.

* A collaborative team player who can also work independently, managing multiple projects with varying deadlines, and responding to multiple internal and external stakeholder demands.

Education:

* Masters or PhD in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics OR an equivalent discipline with 2-3 years of related work experience or BS/BA with 3-6 years of related post-graduate work experience.

Pay Range: $103,000-$230,000

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location
