Windows Systems Admin needed for a Contract opportunity with SOC's client to work Remote. Contract Length: 6+ months Our client is seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator in support of a managed services engagement for a major Public Sector account. The selected candidate will be the primary technical resource for Windows Systems Administration. Responsibilities:
Performs day-to-day operational maintenance, administration, support, patching and upgrades for servers running the Windows 2016, 2019 and 2022 operating systems.
This position requires the ability to assist with the architectural, engineering, administration of Windows infrastructure, as well as participate in the change process and incident response processes.
Continually monitors and tunes multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
Ensures data/media recoverability by developing and implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
The incumbent in this job will work closely with Middleware, Database, and Network teams to troubleshoot issues, implement changes, and deploy release packages.
Provides Office 365 including mailbox and Active Directory administration support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in technology, computer science, or related field and five (5) years or more experience; Four additional years' experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Must have experience administrating and managing servers and systems, specializing Windows Server 2016/2019 in an Azure cloud environment.
Fundamentals of networking, monitoring, and general application configuration and support.
Experience with Office 365 administration.
Active Directory management and Group Policy knowledge.
Experience with Linux OS a plus.
Must be available to participate in on-call work on a reoccurring basis.
Working knowledge of authentication functions and protocols such as LDAP, Kerberos, and Active Directory.
Must possess a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) - Server Infrastructure or equivalent.
Must be able to pass the California Department of Justice and FBI background check process.
