Job Description
Windows Systems Admin needed for a Contract opportunity with SOC's client to work Remote.

Contract Length: 6+ months

Our client is seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator in support of a managed services engagement for a major Public Sector account. The selected candidate will be the primary technical resource for Windows Systems Administration.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs day-to-day operational maintenance, administration, support, patching and upgrades for servers running the Windows 2016, 2019 and 2022 operating systems.
  • This position requires the ability to assist with the architectural, engineering, administration of Windows infrastructure, as well as participate in the change process and incident response processes.
  • Continually monitors and tunes multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Ensures data/media recoverability by developing and implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
  • The incumbent in this job will work closely with Middleware, Database, and Network teams to troubleshoot issues, implement changes, and deploy release packages.
  • Provides Office 365 including mailbox and Active Directory administration support.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in technology, computer science, or related field and five (5) years or more experience; Four additional years' experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have experience administrating and managing servers and systems, specializing Windows Server 2016/2019 in an Azure cloud environment.
  • Fundamentals of networking, monitoring, and general application configuration and support.
  • Experience with Office 365 administration.
  • Active Directory management and Group Policy knowledge.
  • Experience with Linux OS a plus.
  • Must be available to participate in on-call work on a reoccurring basis.
  • Working knowledge of authentication functions and protocols such as LDAP, Kerberos, and Active Directory.
  • Must possess a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) - Server Infrastructure or equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass the California Department of Justice and FBI background check process.
