OVERVIEW:

The Purchasing, Senior Manager will execute procurement and sourcing process for a variety of BY strategic and complex suppliers. The position requires the team member to employe business sensitive project management skills to identify business needs, orchestrate an effective plan to source and secure goods or services, evaluate the financial position of the requirement, and secure the needed items through contract negotiations.

POSITION SCOPE:

  • Leverage experience in sourcing, procurement, and operations activities to manage complex and highly sensitive suppliers and partner engagements.
  • Leading and guiding sourcing and procurement projects, to include, market research, requirements development, negotiations, and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning and management in either Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) or AGILE methodologies.
  • Prior experience in working with stakeholders to manage RFx projects.
  • Detailed financial analysis experience that can confidently portray the value of proposals, develop scorecards, rate terms, and identify deal points.
  • Use functional and technical skills to expertly negotiate highly competitive contracts for BLUE YONDER, that leverage costs savings and incentives (rebates, discounts, samples, etc.) and other favorable terms and conditions.
  • Demonstrate a competent understanding of commercial contract terms and conditions to guide business teams away from risk situations to favorable business scenarios.
  • Drive strategy to ensure business continuity and service fulfillment excellence with largest and most strategic suppliers (risk mitigation and/or contingency plans, etc.)
  • Team member will have frequent interaction and reporting requirements to the sourcing management team, as well as other members of Blue Yonder' s senior and executive leadership teams.
  • Using initiative identify and recommend process improvement strategies across the assigned stakeholders.
  • Will be an integral part of the team helping to carry out process plans with a focus on transformation, and modernization BY's Culture and Processes.
  • Will participate in the creation of strategic plans as well as executing tactical implementations both independently and in coordination with cross functional teams.
  • This may include leading team projects as well as assist with implementing new and innovative solution(s) for the procurement process.
  • Confidently facilitate the development, transfer, and adoption of best practices in the Procure to to-Pay lifecycle.
  • Confidently lead cross-functional project teams and/or programs to support business initiatives and objectives.
  • Provide coaching/mentoring to less senior strategic sourcing associates and procurement associates to aid in career development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Technical Management, Information Technology, Finance or other relevant field from an accredited university or a minimum of 10+ years within sourcing, procurement, finance, purchasing, or technical project management.
  • Advanced knowledge of source-to-pay/procure-to-pay systems and software.
  • Intermediate understanding or comfort in reading and evaluating legal commercial terms.
  • Familiarity with tools and processes used to conduct procurement data modeling.
  • The candidate will work from a remote or remote hybrid structure. Occasional travel for in-person meetings may be required from time-to-time.

The salary range for this position is: USD $105,126.93 - $125,873.06
Note: This is a virtual role based in North America.

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
