Job Description

CN3S is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal I with 1 year of litigation paralegal experience to provide administrative support to our attorneys in preparation for trial. As a Paralegal I, you will play a critical role in our legal team by reading and analyzing reports from investigating agencies, establishing an efficient information management system, and preparing visual aids for court presentations. Additional responsibilities may include general administrative tasks such as copying, mailing documents, and closing case files. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and a basic understanding of e-discovery procedures and legal research tools.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Paralegal I: $21.00-$24.00 per hour.

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Paralegal I Responsibilities Include:

  • Reads and analyzes reports from investigating agencies.
  • Establishes and maintains an effective system of compiling, indexing, and organizing information for trial.
  • Prepares summaries, charts, tables, graphs and other visual aids to be used in court.
  • Other duties may include copying, mailing documents and closing case files.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Paralegal I Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Paralegal certificate, or an equivalent level of legal training may be substituted, and one year of litigation paralegal experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Basic familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
  • Basic legal knowledge, including knowledge of standard legal citations to cite check legal motions and memorandums.
  • Sufficient skills with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
