Summary:

The Data Literacy Lead shall provide expert leadership and guidance in performance for DHS DSSS contract.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

    Responsible for leading the overall efforts to expand data literacy across the Agency by recommending, developing, and presenting professional training and development sessions to help enhance enterprise data use and comprehension.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current data literacy levels and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop a comprehensive data literacy program tailored to the needs of different departments and roles within the agency.
  • Recommend and implement strategies to promote a data-driven culture within the organization.
  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and presentations on topics related to data literacy, data management, and data analysis.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to employees seeking to enhance their data skills and knowledge.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of data literacy.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data literacy initiatives and make adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Shall demonstrate knowledge in training professional staff in the use, manipulation, or presentation of data to a wide range of audiences.
  • Shall demonstrate knowledge or experience in survey design and implementation for a large organization or the public.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, or training.
  • At least 5 years' experience with development and delivery of large-scale training programs.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.

The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $145,000 per year.
