Job Description
As a Diagnostic Imaging PeriAnesthesia Nurse with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, you'll be equipped with the tools, resources, and collaborative opportunities to provide the very best care to pediatric patients. You'll work closely with teams of CRNAs, MDAs, and Child-Life Specialists, to name a few, in serving patients across the spectrum of acuity, acting as a guide, resource, and comfort to children and their families as they move through pre-, intra-, and post-anesthesia phases of care.

On this team, you'll enjoy the benefits of a more traditional schedule; our nurses have the rare opportunity to work Monday through Friday, 9:00 am -5:30 pm. Unless you're on call, your weekends, evenings, and holidays are your own.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • RN required. BSN required.

Minimum Experience:

  • Completion of eighteen (18) months of St. Jude RN experience and documented core competences and skill sets with CAP peer review; OR five (5) years of internal St. Jude PON experience; OR ten (10) years of total RN experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Experience in critical care areas preferred (includes recovery room, ICU, ER).
  • Pediatric experience preferred

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by Law:

  • (LC: RN-TN) Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state.
  • (LC: RN-ARK or RN-MISS) Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $31.50 - $55.00 per hour for the role of Pediatric Oncology Nurse II: Diagnostic Imaging PeriAnesthesia.
