Responsibilities

Managers assure the effective and efficient implementation of Agency policies and directives by directing and coordinating diverse work programs through their subordinate division-level managers, first-line supervisors, and/or staff elements. Responsibilities for the Disability Services Manager include: -Determine organizational structure; assign work across organizational elements and to employees with diverse work roles. -Manage organization or unit's personnel processes, including promotions, awards, staffing, hiring, resource management, performance management. -Oversee, direct or manage the Disability Services budget. -Serve as a resource for employees with disabilities. -Work closely with Human Resources, legal, and facilities entities to ensure Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. -Stay informed of current ADA and related laws, regulations, and guidelines. Leverage the diversity of their work force to create innovative solutions that support the Agency's mission. Contribute to the Agency Strategic Plan based on their understanding of the mission they lead. Advise their senior management or leadership on organizational matters, offer recommendations, and provide liaison as required for the organization.

Job Summary

Managing and leading people is a priority at NSA so that diversity, creativity, and innovation are cultivated and applied to support the Agency's mission. This position leads a cadre of disability service professionals (employees and contract provided) to include sign language interpreters, captioners, personal assistant service providers and notetakers. Qualifications

The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for this position. Degree in any field acceptable. SENIOR Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience may be considered. Relevant experience must be formal or informal supervisory experience (e.g., team lead), and specialized experience in a subject matter related to the position in which the candidate is applying. At least 3 years of formal management experience and experience within the IC/DoD is preferred. The Mid-Level Leadership Program is strongly preferred (must be completed within 6 months of starting the position). EXPERT Entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 5 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 13 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 11 years of relevant experience may be considered. Relevant experience must be formal supervisory experience, and specialized experience in a subject matter related to the position in which the candidate is applying. In addition, may also include informal supervisory experience (e.g., team lead). At least 5 years of formal management experience and experience within the IC/DoD is preferred.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

Pay: Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Salary Range: $117,962 - $191,900 (Senior - Expert) Salary range varies by location, work level, and relevant experience to the position. On the job training, internal NSA courses, and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee. Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, with basic 8hr/day work requirement between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (flexible).
