Description of Task to be Performed:
AnaVation is looking for an experienced technical professional in IT management to support a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) program. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of network operations and maintenance, experience as a manager, and advanced industry knowledge. The IT manager will have an immediate impact on the day- to-day efficiency of our operations and a long-term impact on our overall growth.

Responsibilities include:
* Responsible for the day-to-day customer engagement, recurring operations, support to technical teams, procurements, monthly contract and financial status reports, and deliverable document schedule and quality
* Provide project supervision and management for essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
* Manage IT staff including recruiting, training, performance reviews, retention, and career path/promotions
* Responsible for all phases of the contract execution, including monitoring contract & subcontract requirements, deliverables, and funding; and overseeing timekeeping, travel expenses, and procurements.
* Analyze departmental needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions
* Ensure network components work together seamlessly to meet business needs, using their full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features
* Analyze processes, technologies, and vendors continually to find areas for improvement
* Prepare cost-benefit analyses when upgrades are necessary, and monitor vendors to ensure that they're offering the best-possible service and value for business needs
* Manage and execute disaster planning and maintain data backups *
Manage research and evaluation of emerging technologies, hardware, and software
* Track and maintain hardware and software inventory
* Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative
* Support business development and proposal efforts
Required Qualifications:
  • Education/Certificates
  • Must have an ACTIVE U.S. Federal Government SECRET Security Clearance
  • BS in Business, Information Technology, or similar field
  • Experience
  • Minimum 15 years management, project management, or customer-facing leadership roles
  • Prior hands-on experience (or strong knowledge) in systems administration (ex: Linux, Windows, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory) and/or enterprise network engineering.
  • Experience handling business-critical IT tasks and systems administration
  • Experience with technical project planning, estimating, and scheduling
  • Experience managing individual and program performance standards
  • Experience leading teams
  • Experience competing for and managing task orders and subcontractor partners
  • Skills & Knowledge
  • Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong creative, analytical thinking, and management skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and SharePoint)
  • Ability to lift ~25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • One of the following certifications: Active DoD 8570 IAT II (CompTIA CySA+ preferred, Security+ or equivalent)
  • Strong ITIL knowledge and change management experience
  • Experience leading Agile teams and Scrum Master Certification
  • Experience leading IT infrastructure migrations in Azure
  • Azure Solutions Architect Certification
  • Previous experience managing resources in Unanet
  • Experience directing and supervising engineering and technical personnel on a major program, project, or activity
  • Previous experience supporting Army programs and/or Army Research and Development contract
