About the Position

Dexis is currently seeking a Learning Event Facilitator, a short-term consultantcy, to serve on the USAID Resilience ANCHORS Mid-term Performance Evaluation. The Learning Event Facilitator will design the learning event agenda and facilitate the workshops. The facilitator will report to Dexis Headquarters and will work closely with both Dexis Headquarters, USAID/Zimbabwe, and the Evaluation Team Lead to produce the deliverables.

Please note that this position is contingent upon USAID approval of the candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Design and draft the learning event agenda based on the mid-term evaluation report findings, conclusions, and recommendations
  • Together with the Evaluation Team Leader, develop the run of show of the learning event
  • Facilitate the learning event and ensure the objectives are met
  • Prepare summary report of the learning event discussions and documented learnings
  • Work closely with the Evaluation Team Leader and the TAP EG team in developing the list of attendees
  • Other tasks to ensure the learning event is a success
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience, Master's degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Sub Saharan Africa preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Prior USAID or other donor program implementation and coordination and evaluation, especially in the agriculture and agribusiness sectors is preferred.
  • A background in Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) to lead and take on Q&As preferred.
  • Candidates should possess a mix of technical expertise, management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English is required.

Date: Mid April - mid June 2024
Location: Remote and one-week TDY in Zimbabwe
Period of Performance: 2 Months
