SUMMARY

The GI Lab Coordinator improves clinical operations by collaborating with the attending medical staff, as well as the department scheduler to coordinate the delivery of high quality, individualized, cost-effective patient care. Improves quality by coordinating resource utilization throughout the Health System to maximize the provider's block time. Coordinates interdisciplinary referrals utilizing pre-established criteria for quality and access to the GI lab. Supports the performance improvement process through comprehensive analysis of patterns and trends. Improves patient satisfaction by facilitating pre/post procedures telephone calls to all patients in the GI lab.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing as a Graduate Practical Nurse.
• Current Georgia License as a Practical Nurse.
• CPR Certification.
• Three (3) years of experience in an outpatient ambulatory setting.
• Passing score on medication exam before conclusion of orientation.
