Job Description:

Designs software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analytics and manages their implementation. Manages software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques, and computer-aided software engineering (CASE) tools. Estimate software development costs and timeline. It reviews existing programs and helps make improvements, reduce uptime, and improve current techniques. Formulates and defines specifications for software applications or modifies and maintains existing applications using engineering versions and utilities from the manufacturer. Responsible for the design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of the program. Instructs, directs, and controls the work of the rest of the task staff. Responsible for QA review and evaluation of new and existing software products.

The Level 3 Application Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:

• Fifteen (15) years of experience in the disciplines of computer science or software engineering is required in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes can substitute for a bachelor's degree.

The position requires active security clearance with appropriate polygraph
