Job Description
To deliver and/or steward application administration, documentation, training, support, and enhancement of the operations portfolio as well as other related 3rd party applications in alignment with business requirements

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand the needs of Hilcorp Energy, directly supporting and acting as a liaison to other internal functions and external business partners.
  • Provide support for Hilcorp IT Solutions application portfolio, including vendor/developer engagement, product roadmap execution, feature enhancement, issue management, user administration, training coordination, and value measurement
  • Provides and coordinates report development & maintenance services for supported application portfolio.
  • Participates in Acquisition transition projects to integrate new assets into existing or new systems.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of IT solutions to business partners which deliver value in terms of automation, efficiency, or improved IT controls.
  • Elicit and document functional requirements from business users and work with technical teams to translate them into technical specification documents for development by internal or external resources
  • Collaborates with business partners to develop and document Business Workflow Processes.
  • Review new software versions and add-ons to determine viability for our organization.
  • Performs regression testing of new program enhancements.
  • Adheres to the company's values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment, and innovation.
  • Supports company vision and mission.
  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five to eight (5-8) years of Oil and Gas: Programming, Software Development, Database Administration, Information Systems Administrator/Analyst (IT).
  • Exceptional ability in diagnosing and solving data management problems while maintaining patience, professionalism, and courtesy.
  • Ability to perform data analysis and optimization tasks, which involve querying, manipulating, and reporting.
  • Ability to perform data migration and integration processes, which involve moving or transferring data.
  • Ability to maintain and execute data backup and recovery plans, which are essential for protecting the data from loss or corruption.
  • Develop, test, and deploy software applications that run on cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud-based applications and services.
  • Implement security best practices to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of data in the cloud.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Optimize cloud resources to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architecture and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in cloud development and deployment.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and deliver solutions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities without close supervision.
  • Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detailed information in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates resourcefulness through execution and delivery of high priority projects
  • Project Management experience highly desirable
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, C, Java)
  • Proficiency in the use and application of the following software if preferred:
  • Microsoft: SQL, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Powerpoint

Education Requirements:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in computer science, management information systems or related field.
