Job Summary
B&A is looking for a Lead IT Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging the gap between the information technology (IT) department and the business stakeholders. The primary responsibility of the IT Business Analyst is to analyze business processes, identify areas for improvement, and propose technology-based solutions that align with the organization's goals and objectives. They collaborate with various stakeholders, including business users, project managers, developers, and testers, to ensure successful implementation of IT initiatives and projects.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and scheduling activities.
  • Coordinate with development teams and other stakeholders to ensure timely and successful implementation of IT projects.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and facilitate user training and change management activities.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and propose corrective actions.
  • Build strong relationships and effectively communicate with business users, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to gather requirements, provide updates, and resolve issues.
  • Updates of system user-guides.
  • Improved business processes and workflows using the latest version of Bizflow AppDev.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment between business needs and IT solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating technical concepts into business terms.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to business analysis and IT.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Recommend and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness of IT systems and processes.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
Required Skills
  • Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation techniques.
  • Familiarity with business process modeling and analysis tools.
Desired Skills
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Familiarity with IT project management principles and practices.
Security Clearance
  • Eligible to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
