Senior Counterintelligence Referent

***This position requires an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance***

A Counterintelligence Referent gathers, analyzes, and disseminates intelligence to detect and counter potential threats to national security. They collaborate with intelligence agencies and law enforcement to investigate espionage, sabotage, and other activities that jeopardize the country's interests. Through research, analysis, and coordination with foreign partners, they identify patterns, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats, providing actionable intelligence and recommendations to protect against hostile intelligence activities and maintain national security.

Senior Counterintelligence Referent Responsibilities Include:

  • Initiative, creativity, technical excellence, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Develop and maintain broad professional networks across the Intelligence Community and government.
  • Ideal candidates are inquisitive, investigative and action-oriented with the ability to take initiative and deliver solutions.
  • Apply advanced knowledge and expertise of operations and intelligence priorities when providing strategic guidance and operational case management
  • Support program management throughout the customer, from traditional operational activities to specialized initiatives.
  • Find solutions to complex operational problems, identifying new technical tools and capabilities to advance operations, and tapping the resources of the IC to ensure operational requirements are met.
  • Provide objective reviews of on-going and potential operations and serve as the vital link between personnel in the field and the Intelligence Community.
  • Provide all-source intelligence research, risk analysis, and report writing; operational concept development; stakeholder engagement; and preparation and presentation of reports to all levels of customer management.
  • Provide independent, objective and discrete advice and council to senior leadership, project management, project team members and support staff.

Senior Counterintelligence Referent Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph security clearance
  • Over 20 years of relevant experience, preferably with the Client.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Analyze foreign adversaries' intelligence capabilities, cyber threats, and potential HUMINT operations.
  • Familiarity with Insider Threat programs.
  • Strong briefing, writing, and teamwork skills with minimal supervision.
  • Regional and/or functional expertise in a specific geographic area.
  • Effective communication with customer managers at all levels.
  • Familiarity with Organizational Design, Business Design, and Design Thinking.
  • Thrives in commercial environments, maintaining professionalism.
  • Expertly plans and facilitates commercial design and planning activities.
  • Leads strategic planning off-sites and workshops for up to 100 attendees.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
