We are adding a Water Resources Project Mangaer for our Columbia, MD office.
Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the project manager and technical lead for roadway, trail, and complex projects
- Overseeing budgets and schedules for various size projects
- Developing and maintaining client contacts
- Reviewing and leading proposals including scope, pricing, and financials
- Mentoring junior staff
- Leading QA/QC reviews
- Attend client meetings
- Forecast workload for projects and resource planning
- Develop design and construction plans, design reports, specifications, and cost estimates
- Assist with contract administration
- Travel will be required as needed

The successful candidate will have all of the following:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited university
- At least 7 years of relevant work experience with at least 2 years being at the project management level; and
- a PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in MD, DC, and VA within 6 months of start date
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
* Knowledge of MDOT, DDOT or VDOT and local design guidelines and manuals
* Well versed in Roadway design modeling to include cross sections along with grading, drainage & utilities.
* Experience in Drainage, Storm water Management and Erosion and Sediment Control designs and calculations
* Understanding of bridge hydraulics and flood plain analysis
* Experience with the software programs: MicroStation or Autocad, TR-20, TR-55, HY-8, Hec Ras
* Experienced with report writing as relates to transportation projects
* Knowledge of MDE, DOEE or VPDES permit requirements
* Experience preparing cost estimates and construction specifications or special provisions
* Experience in Mid-Atlantic Area to include MD, DC or VA and local governments
* Experience in coordination with various design disciplines, utility coordination and project stakeholders
