Summary:

Responsible for all shipping and packaging of customer and vendor material. Coordinates and supervises staff to ensure contractual deliveries in an effective and efficient manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages the Shipping and packaging of production and repair items for customer deliveries
  • Interacts with delivery carriers regarding services, rates, schedules and outbound freight services
  • Working knowledge of MIL STD packaging requirements
  • Supervises staff for Shipping Department
  • Places material orders and maintains adequate inventory packaging material supplies
  • Communicates with other departments for daily and weekly shipping schedules
  • Supervises the material handling function and internal material to all departments
  • Supervises the month end closings and ensures contractual commitments are met
  • Supervises the daily deliveries by the van driver to suppliers and other facilities
  • Assures proper operation of TTM / Telephonics vehicles and provides back up for company driver
  • Performs other duties as directed

Skills:

  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school
  • 10-12 years related experience and or/training with 3 years management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of PC's and software
  • Ability to manage and delegate responsibilities to staff
  • Knowledge of ERP systems for tracking, timekeeping and freight analysis
  • Negotiation skills for annual tariff negotiations
  • Ability to schedule and prioritize packaging jobs, customer shipments and local deliveries by the van driver
  • Ability to understand and interpret contractual packaging requirements and government specs
  • Ability to read and interpret contract requirements, purchase orders, packing lists, freight bills, commercial invoices, FAR clauses, company SOP's and military specifications
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with outside vendors, freight carriers, packaging material suppliers
  • Working knowledge of small pack processing UPS, FedEx, DHL and freight carrier web sites and portals
  • Must be able to interact with various levels of management, vendors and customers

Compensation and Benefits:

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$55,693 - $92,822

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
