Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Provide comprehensive support for federal, state, and international tax planning and analysis, including evaluating all planning options for the Company's vaccine products and strategic opportunities. This involves considering impacts on operations, tax accounting, cash, taxes, and compliance.

* Develop a thorough understanding of the Company's operations and assess U.S. and foreign tax opportunities and risks.

* Prepare technical position papers and formulate tax policies to underpin the Company's planning and positions for tax purposes.

* Collaborate internally on the quarterly and year-end tax accounting process in accordance with ASC 740 and work with external advisors to support federal, state, and international tax compliance.

* Oversee and review all aspects of the quarterly and year-end U.S. GAAP global tax provision for the Company's entities.

* Act as the primary tax resource for key stakeholders, emphasizing Finance, Operations, Commercial, Legal, Human Resources, and external tax advisors.

* Support the Company's credit and incentive opportunities, including federal and state research credits.

* Monitor and analyze tax regulatory and compliance changes to facilitate decision-making related to the Company's financial reporting and financial statement impact.

* Manage compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and internal controls.

* Review international tax compliance filings and other international tax forms/disclosures.

* Support the tax audit process in various federal, state, and international jurisdictions.

Minimum requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree in Tax; CPA certification.

* Minimum of 15+ years of experience in income tax compliance and income tax accounting reporting under ASC 740.

* Experience in either a large, multinational corporation subject to SEC reporting requirements or with a Big 4 or regional accounting firm is required.

* Research and documentation of tax issues, including the ability to analyze and interpret tax laws, regulations, technical guidance, tax journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations, and document the implications to the Company.

Other Qualifications:

* Experience with SAP is preferred.

* Strong communication skills (verbal and written) - capable of establishing working relationships with other departments and personnel, leading discussions with senior management, and drafting and organizing substantial documents that are well-structured, cohesive, and easy to understand.

* Strong analytical ability, good organization skills, and excellent time management skills.

* Proactive in making recommendations and facilitating decision-making.

* Proficient in working with complex spreadsheet models and tax software.

* Ability to excel within time constraints and rapid turnaround situations, working independently and reaching out to others for support constructively.
