JOB SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Program Assistant is to assist in the operation of the Summer Food Service Program. The employee will be responsible for providing meals to children in an efficient, safe and sanitary manner, as well as monitoring and maintaining the program's accounts inventory and supplies. The Program Assistant works with a team of HHS staff as well as various volunteers.
- Vehicle Operator's license with satisfactory driving record that meets insurability standards of the City's insurance carrier is required. The employee must maintain the license for the duration of their employment.
- Ability to safely drive cargo and passenger vans.
- Ability to communicate using American Sign Language.
- Ability to communicate using the Spanish language.

The employee is subject to the use of Universal Precautions as required by the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan, and to annual Tuberculosis (TB) Testing as required by the Tuberculosis Prevention Plan.
