The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria is seeking Maternal Fetal Medicine subspecialists to help build a new academic division under a stable and growing Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The full-time positions will be at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor and ideal for individuals interested in clinical practice, teaching, scholarship, including opportunities for academic leadership.

Position Summary

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria is seeking Maternal Fetal Medicine subspecialists to help build a new academic division under a stable and growing Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This is a unique opportunity to advance a strong clinical and academic career in Maternal Fetal Medicine.

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Provide direct patient care in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
  • Teach, train, mentor, and precept residents and medical students in the context of clinical Maternal Fetal Medicine.
  • Consultative model allowing Maternal Fetal Medicine to attend deliveries if preferred but not required.
  • Supported by 6 APPs, ARDMS certified sonographers, 2 diabetes educators, 2 perinatal nutritionists and a genetic counselor.
  • Works collaboratively with Children's Hospital of Illinois and University of Illinois subspecialties.
  • Develop/delivery academic presentations.
  • Shared call.


Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with mentoring and training residents and medical students.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce scholarly activity.
