HawkEye 360 is currently seeking an Associate System Operations Engineer to join the System Operations team, which is a group of passionate engineers dedicated to maximizing the performance and quality of the end-to-end HE360 system through solving real time problems, monitoring system performance, and conducting data analytics. We own and drive internal and customer issues to resolution while keeping an open channel of communication with the stakeholders during on-going cases. The team is looking to add someone who can champion our end-to-end collection system quality program.

HawkEye 360 is looking for a candidate with exceptional problem-solving skills, who is a strong communicator and has a passion for working with and developing new innovative technology.

As the Associate System Operations Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:

• Contribute towards the quality assessment and control of the collection system, RF processing algorithms, and customer data products.
• Proactively bring issues and problems to the attention of the team; generate, propose, and implement innovative solutions to solve them.
• Dive deep into the inner workings of our systems and data to understand limitations and opportunities for optimization and improvement.
• Perform in-depth analysis on issues reported by customers or identified through monitoring systems and escalate issues to higher levels of support when needed.
• Work cross-functionally across the organization with product, engineering, and mission management teams.
• Support the operations of the company by becoming conversant with, and recommending improvements to, all internal operational tools.

Your skills and qualifications:
Essential education and experience:

• 1+ years professional work experience
• BS/BA in technical, geospatial, or business-related field; or equivalent experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• High attention to detail and the ability to handle several issues simultaneously
• Lots of initiative, and the ability to learn quickly and seek help when needed
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

• Experience with navigating and querying PostgresSQL or similar databases.
• Hands-on programming experience or experience working with developers on technical systems
• Working geospatial knowledge and experience with GIS applications (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.).
• Experience in a customer service industry or working in a customer-facing role.

Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000 annually

HawkEye 360 offers a compensation package that includes a competitive base salary plus annual performance bonus and benefits. We consider many factors when determining salary offers, such as candidate's work experience, education, training & skills, as well as market and business considerations. We are also open to considering candidates with experience and qualifications at a different level than required in a job posting, which may affect the compensation package offered.
