Project Manager Washington, DC Area (Pentagon)

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Public Institutions (PI) group. This position will support the Air Force (AF) Portfolio Management team, advising the AF Secretariat's Office on all matters involving the AF's Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI). MHPI is an excellent example of an effective Public-Private Partnership (P3) Program and involves a 50-year ground lease between the AF and private sector residential developers. MHPI projects are master-planned residential communities and are located at AF Installations nationwide.

About Public Institutions: JLL's PI group identifies and implements strategies that allow public sector organizations to fully leverage their real property in close alignment with their organizational missions. PI employs more than 500 professionals in locations throughout the U.S. and abroad, with a proven track record of success conducting work for more than 200 government and higher education clients.

Specific Responsibilities:
Advise the AF Secretariat's Office on all aspects of AF MHPI projects, including real estate finance, construction oversight, property management, AF policy, and impacts of new legislation;
Co-located at the Pentagon (2-3 days per week) working with the AF Staff
Coordinate communications among the various organizations and stakeholders involved in AF MHPI oversight;
Coordinate responses to Congressional inquiries;
Draft responses to requests for information from various agencies and sources;
Monitor and brief Secretary on progress of strategic initiatives affecting AF MHPI projects;
Review and analyze project transaction documents and various project summary reports generated by others;
Provide project management assistance, working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders on issue identification and resolution;
Develop and update briefing materials for stakeholders in the housing privatization program;
Brief senior Air Force leaders, Congressional Staffers, and others who may or may not have a background in AF MHPI;
Monitor AF MHPI portfolio performance and Key Performance Indicators;
Monitor AF task management system, task various AF organizations for necessary information, compile inputs of multiple stakeholders into comprehensive responses/task closeout;
Assist with strategic communications and meeting management/facilitation;
Handle a significant workload through effective assignment prioritization and time management
Maintain MS Teams document repository ensure relevant briefings, meeting minutes, reports, and other relevant material are easily accessible

Requirements: The ideal candidate would have a communications background with military experience and knowledge of the AF Housing Privatization program; advanced degree in real estate, business, finance, public policy or related field preferred; minimum of 6 years work experience; Strong financial/analytical, strategic thinking, organization, time management, client relationship and project management skills; Self-motivation and the ability to show initiative in taking action and responding appropriately; Excellent business/verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally in written communication; Ability to meet deadlines, demonstrate flexibility and work in fast-paced team environment; Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be a team player. Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office software suite, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel; Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn.
