Summary:

Goldbelt C6, LLC., is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to provide external outreach support to AGP Action Officers in conjunction with EB/EPPD and E/GFS on food security issues in developing countries, including fact checking as needed and will enable EB to provide greater oversight over food security foreign assistance programming. Economic and Business Affairs (EB), Office of Commercial and Business Affairs (CBA).

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

    Communication Monitoring and Engagement

  • Manage the day-to-day program communication activities on food security, including fact checking.

  • Work with the F Bureau on assistance coordination to ensure all USG elements are using the latest/correct assistance numbers.

  • Engage food security interagency partners including USAID and Treasury to design and leverage communication activities.

  • Assist Action Officers with identifying and vetting messaging.

  • Engage in food security coordination with counterparts in regional bureaus and overseas posts.

  • Work in conjunction with EB/EPPD and local journalist in developing countries to counter misinformation on the causes of food insecurity in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

  • Evaluate the impact of communication outreach on food security.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience with media and press releases
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work on multiple projects with changing priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required with 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Some travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree and 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Currently has an active Secret clearance.
  • Prior experience working with the U.S. Department of State is highly desired to understand the culture and environment.
