We currently have an opening in our Clarksburg, MD office for an experienced Team Lead in Manufacturing Operations. This position will report to the Manager of Manufacturing Operations. The team lead is responsible for one products line and is responsible for circuit card test, final assembly and test,and all process development activities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day activities on one or more production lines.
  • Ensure that teams are performing to work instructions and team is correctly logging into PIDs.
  • Accountable for quality, quantity and inspection of all work performed on assigned lines.
  • Monitor operational efficiencies, yields, and other data reports to guide labor efforts to meet or exceed standards.
  • Perform technical responsibilities on assigned line with a high degree of proficiency. Assign work, train and mentor team on best practices of technical application.
  • Demonstrate support for company values and vision and embrace TDSI Core Values.
  • Maintain a high ethical standard of practice, including compliance with all company procedures.
  • Follow printed work instructions.
  • Read schematics wiring diagrams and building assembly drawing along with MWI.
  • Handle small precision tools, hardware, etc.
  • Properly sign in on correct PIDs, complete ESD testing, and follow all manufacturing guidelines and procedures.
  • Interpret IPC-A-620 standards, where applicable.
  • Maintain a neat appearance in their work area and follow FOD compliance.
  • Shall be accountable for quality, quantity, and inspection of all work performed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Provides supervision for one or more production lines. This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's operating policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include ensuring staff is performing to expectations, interviewing, training and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; preparing performance appraisals, rewarding and providing for employee discipline when required; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Active mentoring and development of staff is critical element of the supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications
  • US Citizenship Required.
  • Ability to obtain US Security Clearance.
  • 2 Year Degree in Electronic Technology or other related field.
  • Must have 5 to 7 years manufacturing electro/mechanical experience with at least 5 years in management.
  • Computer Skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, StripedLightning & PeopleSoft.
  • Experience with electronics, radio test requirements and have a working knowledge of surface mount technology.
  • Solid customer focus and management of key stakeholders.
  • Understand ERP System.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Concepts such as Kanban, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, etc. preferred.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Data such as specification control drawing & source control drawing.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills - fluent in English
