Job Description

ImmunityBio, Inc. is a late-stage immunotherapy company developing a broad pipeline of next-generation therapies that drive immunogenic mechanisms for defeating cancer and infectious disease. The company's immunotherapy platform is designed to activate both the innate (natural killer cell and macrophage) and adaptive (T cell) immune systems to create long-term "immunological memory." The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted for review ImmunityBio's resubmission of its Biologics License Application (BLA) for N-803, a first-in-class IL-15 superagonist, plus Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) for the treatment of BCG-unresponsive non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer carcinoma in situ (CIS) with or without Ta or T1 disease, and has set a user fee goal date (PDUFA date) of April 23, 2024.

Position Summary

The Event Coordinator provides unparalleled support and guidance for event management requests while keeping within the allocated budget. The role will coordinate the team event calendar, handle conference and event logistics at both a corporate and regional level and prepare reports, presentations, and materials.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare annual plan and budget for all corporate and regional events
  • Identify, register, and facilitate event/conference requests from draft through fulfillment (including post show reports and recommendations)
  • Familiar with current and upcoming marketing materials, including what content is being created, when it will be available, and how it can be used; make content recommendations based on feedback from staff and show attendees
  • Create instructions and facilitate fulfilment of marketing materials
  • Create team analytics reports - update detailed Excel reports and event summaries to be distributed to senior leadership
  • Update presentation materials as appropriate
  • Take notes and/or update corporate event schedules and distribute to teams
  • Support team with major trade events and summits, including pulling assets to create presentation materials, processing payment with vendors, creating schedules or other support documents for event planning, and performing duties at local events as needed (e.g. running mics, check-in, NDA signing, etc.)
  • Create annual calendar of recurring events, suggest system improvements, collaborate with team on process enhancements proactively
  • Provide administrative support duties for the team, such as expense reports, travel coordination, scheduling meetings, guest passes, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • BA in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management, or relevant field
  • Minimum of 1 year of Marketing or related experience,
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • International experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same time (e.g., event logistics, booth management company, event-related advertising etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that may include public speaking and presentations.
  • Superior interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to be flexible and effectively adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office applications including PowerPoint

Working Environment / Physical Environment

  • This position works remotely in the Los Angeles area
  • This position must be able to travel to our El Segundo, CA and Culver City, CA locations to access event materials as needed.
  • Ability to travel at least once a month

This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus and equity award. The base pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience as well as geographic location.

$31.25 (entry-level qualifications) to $39.00(highly experienced) hourly
