As the Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions, you will be a pivotal architect in shaping the growth trajectory and strategic expansion of our organization. This leadership role demands a seasoned M&A professional with a proven track record in steering complex transactions, from meticulous due diligence to successful integration. Your expertise will be instrumental in fortifying our market position, identifying strategic opportunities, and delivering maximum value for our stakeholders. This is a newly created position that will directly report to the EVP of M&A and Strategy and also interface consistently with our C-Suite & board room.

The team is ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. You'll first hear from someone in Talent Acquisition to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with our Hiring Manager. Duties:

  1. M&A Strategy:
    • Develop and execute the overarching M&A strategy, meticulously aligned with the company's long-term goals and growth objectives.
    • Lead the sourcing and execution of acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic alliances to diversify and strengthen our portfolio.
  1. Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:
    • Illuminate opportunities for strategic transactions through comprehensive due diligence, assessing strategic fit, financial viability, and risk factors.
    • Spearhead the development of toolkits to expedite and enhance the due diligence process for seamless execution.
  1. Negotiation and Deal Structuring:
    • Bring substantial experience to the negotiation table, structuring and negotiating complex deals to secure favorable terms.
    • Collaborate closely with senior management, gaining alignment and approvals for strategic transactions.
  1. Stakeholder Communication:
    • Interface seamlessly with external advisors, internal stakeholders, and counterparties, steering the transaction process to successful closure.
    • Effectively communicate M&A strategies, progress, and outcomes to executive leadership, board members, and relevant stakeholders.
  1. Integration Planning:
    • Collaborate with operational and functional teams to develop meticulous integration plans, ensuring a smooth transition and realization of synergies.
    • Mitigate potential risks while optimizing the post-acquisition execution phase.
  1. Toolkit Development:
    • Innovate toolkits for comprehensive deal evaluation, incorporating value creation analysis, synergy rationale, and financing needs.
    • Conduct thorough risk and opportunity analyses for M&A activities, providing critical insights for accurate valuation and structural impact assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in leading M&A transactions, with prior experience in investment banking, private equity, and/or corporate development.
  • Successfully led M&A projects, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of deal dynamics and complexities.
  • Ability to model and synthesize complex financial analysis and operational data.
  • Substantial experience in negotiating complex deals, including deal structuring and contract negotiations.
  • Strong board-level presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategic concepts in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and relationship-building across functions and business units.
