The Opportunity:
Looking for a skilled Controls Engineer to play a pivotal role in delivering quality customer proposals on time, seamlessly integrating both client and company standards and requirements within the realm of advanced automation solutions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Process formal Enquiries (RFQs) from potential clients in a timely manner, while thoroughly
    examining the core automation requirements.
  • Develop a tailored proposal document, highlighting processes, scopes, automation solutions,
    assumptions, and exclusions.
  • Work closely to create accurate estimates for RFQ's by:
    o Guiding technical questions with the support of the Purchasing team.
    o Assessing and approving feedback from Comau's automation vendors.
  • Populate final proposal documentation, emphasizing automation solutions, to meet both
    internal standards and client expectations.
  • Maintain an exhaustive record of all automation-related proposals, from estimated costs to
    order outcomes.
  • Foster productive dialogues with potential clients, advocating for our cutting-edge automation
    solutions.
  • Coordinate and manage the transfer of technical and commercial data once an order is
    confirmed, by leading the handover to sales, and ensuring all data is distributed to the project
    team.
  • Uphold impeccable automation-specific reporting standards and manage associated commercial
    records.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in engineering, with a focus on warehouse / fulfillment automation and
    automated material handling.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and systems, and other warehousing
    technologies.
  • Customer interface experience in logistics project developments

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in CAD (3D/2D) and PLM tools.
  • In-depth understanding of BIW, EV, PWA, GI manufacturing processes with a distinct focus on
    automation solutions.
  • Familiarity with automated warehouse solutions, robotics integration, and material handling
    systems.
  • Thorough understanding of project costs spanning from design to installation.
  • Proficiency in identifying and leveraging emerging automation technologies and methodologies.

Technical Expertise:

  • Willingness and ability to travel, up to 50% or more, to warehouse locations, vendor sites,
    and/or industry conferences
