Job Description

Fibertek is looking for an organized and diligent individual to support the US Army's world class research and development programs at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This is a full time, permanent position and Fibertek offers a comprehensive benefits package. Top Secret SCI Clearance is required; Fibertek will sponsor successful candidate for Secret Clearance if needed.

  • Monitor and/or perform the requirements of receiving, inventorying, documenting, cataloging, issuing, safeguarding and disposal of equipment located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Army Property Book Officer (PBO) activities, to include an understanding of current and legacy systems used for the tracking of Army equipment, provides equipment management support to various projects. Supports the management of records for all leased, loaned and borrowed equipment, and the management of the records for all equipment transferred into and out of the property book. Executes detailed analyses of equipment utilization supporting efforts to ensure resources are optimally and appropriately applied to the Army mission. Supports receiving and shipping of various items and ensures efficient, organized storage.
  • Oversee work performed in Department of Defense (DoD) state of the art laboratories.
  • Maintain and update facilities work orders through use of an approved database and provide recommended courses of action regarding open work orders to team lead.
  • Coordinate with onsite Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG)/C5ISR Center-ESI Facilities team (located at APG) and the APG Directorate of Public Works as required to ensure facilities issues are addressed and to identify short and long-term projects are captured.
  • Work closely with Engineers and Scientists to develop statements of work (SOW), cost estimates and timelines for proposed work.
  • Ability to coordinate all aspects of construction/maintenance efforts.
  • Respond to customer service and support requests relating to facilities and property accountability.
  • Provides minor on-site repair or adjustment to furniture, furnishings and equipment as instructed. Performs other duties such as hanging pictures, white boards/bulletin boards as instructed.
  • Lifts, moves, disassembles, and reassembles office furniture, furnishings and equipment as instructed.
  • Participate with team lead in workload planning and budgeting.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with all levels of personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

*High school diploma or equivalent
*Minimum 10 years experience
*Schedule is 0600-1445, 0630-1515, or 0700-1545; Monday to Friday.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
*Competency in Microsoft Suite and ability to learn specialized programs and databases
*Strong problem-solving skills
*Strong customer service skills
*Strong knowledge of technical supply management operations
*Strong communication skills
*Strong organization and time management skills

Work Environment and Physical Requirements/Demands:
*Warehouse, office and outdoor environments
*Ability to lift/pull minimum of 50 lbs
*May be exposed to inclement conditions
*Will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
*Occasional walking, stooping, standing, bending, sitting, repetitive movement and reaching
