Job Description: Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to join our Neuroscience Intermediate Care (IMC) team. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in providing advanced nursing care to patients with complex neurological conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to assess, diagnose, and manage acute and critical neurological conditions.
  • Perform comprehensive neurological assessments, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized care plans for patients.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide patient and family education.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff and participate in staff education and training programs.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) from an accredited certifying body.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of Maryland.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in acute care, preferably in neurology or critical care.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
