Virtualization Consultant for Dell End User Compute Products (TS/SCI - Poly)

Orbis Operations is seeking Virtualization Consultant to support its government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Required Clearance: Active Security Clearance required at the Top Secret (TS)/Special Compartmented Information (SCI) level and appropriate level Polygraph
Role Description:
We are in search of a highly skilled Virtualization Consultant to join our team, focusing on the operation and maintenance of customer storage environments that incorporate a variety of DellEMC Products, including Dell Wyse WMS, and virtualization technologies such as VMware Horizon, Citrix, and Microsoft. This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of these solutions, as well as providing expert education, training, and support to our customers.
- Operate and maintain customer storage and virtualization environments, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security across DellEMC Products and virtualization platforms like VMware Horizon, Citrix, and Microsoft.
- Provide expert education and training to customers on Dell End User Compute products, particularly Wyse End Point Devices, and virtualization technologies to enhance their understanding and operational efficiency.
- Conduct daily system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities to preemptively identify and resolve issues, ensuring uninterrupted system performance.
- Advise customers on best practices for storage and virtualization environment management, including problem/issues management, change management, and continual service improvement.
- Offer Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, acting as a primary point of contact for complex issues related to storage and virtualization environments.
- Collaborate with customers to assess their needs and consult on the most effective use of Dell End User Compute and virtualization products to meet these needs.
- Stay informed on the latest developments and features within the Dell End User Compute portfolio, virtualization technologies, and the broader IT landscape.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of DellEMC Products, particularly Dell Wyse WMS, and virtualization technologies such as VMware Horizon, Citrix, and Microsoft.
- Proven experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting storage and virtualization environments.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective training and educational sessions on Dell End User Compute products and virtualization technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the capability to quickly and effectively address issues in storage and virtualization environments.
- Knowledge of IT security standards and practices; Security+ CE Certification is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and educating customers with varying levels of technical expertise.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with new technologies and products within the Dell End User Compute and virtualization fields.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications in DellEMC Products, VMware Horizon, Citrix, Microsoft, or other virtualization technologies are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in storage and virtualization administration, with a focus on DellEMC products and virtualization platforms.
- Security+ CE Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
