TISTA Science and Technology Corporation is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team.

The person filling this role will work as part of a team of IT Security professionals who support the security compliance and cloud initiatives of the agency
• Develop, implement and manage cloud based applications
• Help ensure the security compliance of all agency applications
• Vulnerbility management and remediation
• Optimize the performance and efficiency of all agency applications
• Work within an Agile Team comprised of Developers, Testers, Help Desk staff
• Interface and collaborate with partners for our wider Cloud and networking infrastructure
• Pilot and test new Cloud initiatives
• Work with the client and stakeholders to understand the vision and modifications to be applied to their applications
• Troubleshooting issues dealing with the cloud application failures and/or security flaws
• Automating system operations to enhance efficiency

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in the Information Technology field
• Recognized cloud certifications
• Fundamental understanding of cloud security
• Demonstrates a proficiency with developing, maintaining and managing applications in the cloud
• Programming skills

• Network and internet protocol knowledge, including knowledge of routing, firewalls, TCP/IP, the domain name system (DNS), and subnetting

• Understanding of security, redundancy, and recovery in the event of data loss or corruption

• Understanding of virtualization
• Knowledge of application programming interfaces (APIs) and web services to automate the supervision of cloud services and data transfers
• Displays technical experience with conducting research and providing review recommendations on software and technologies for vulnerabilities
• Strong problem solving and analysis skills, self-motivated, and able to work and communicate in a team environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or similar fields
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in the Information Technology field
• 10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
• Required Certifications:
• MS AZ-500 (Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate)

Salary Inforamtion:

• The pay for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000.
• The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
• Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
