Pathways is seeking an Associate VP, HR Business Partners who is a strong business partner, leads from the front and thrives in times of business transformation. This is a newly created position to support our growing and changing business needs. The AVP, HR Business Partners is the strategic leader for our human resources business partner team that supports the strategic and operational objectives for Pathways. This role will build, foster and sustain relationships with the Executive and State leadership to effectively partner and influence decision-making in the areas of leadership, organizational design, employee engagement and retention, change management, work force planning, organization development, performance management, employee relations, compensation planning and communications. This position will lead a team that supports the Shared Services and Market Operations across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership and Business Partnership:
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the executive and state leadership team, providing insights and guidance on people-related matters.
  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the overall business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver HR solutions to drive performance, engagement and retention across the company.
  • Proactively identify areas for HR support and intervention, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Employee Engagement and Retention:
  • Lead the development and execution of initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, retention and overall workplace culture.
  • Foster an inclusive team and company environment that values diversity and promotes a positive employee experience.
Performance Management:
  • Lead performance management processes, succession planning, and talent development initiatives in partnership with the business and our Learning and Development team.
  • Where needed, provide guidance and advice on goal setting, performance management, leadership development and employee development.
Organizational Design and Development:
  • Collaborate with leaders to assess organizational needs and develop strategies for organizational development.
  • Implement change management initiatives to support organizational growth and transformation.
  • Where needed, support the integration of acquisition employees into the company.
Leadership Development:
  • In partnership with our learning and development team, implement leadership development programs to build a strong leadership skills and pipeline across the organization.
  • Provide coaching and support to senior leaders on leadership effectiveness.
Employee Relations:
  • Provide expertise and guidance on employee relations matters.
  • Address and resolve complex employee relations issues in collaboration with HR teams and legal counsel.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture through communication, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives.
HRBP Operations:
  • Hire, Develop and lead a team of Sr HR Directors, HRBPs in support of business objectives.
  • Oversee HRBP operations, including compliance with labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Compensation Planning:
  • Partner with the operations leadership to development compensation strategies and outcomes that drive performance and desired work behaviors.
  • Lead compensation planning for merit and market reviews across market operations and shared services.
Communication and Education:
  • Communicate HR strategies and initiatives to employees and leaders.
  • With your team, lead the development of education and training on HR policies and programs.
Requirements and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources and leadership.
  • Extensive experience in senior HR leadership roles, including business partnering with executive teams.
  • Excellent leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong data analytic and critical thinking skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and trends.
