Valiant is seeking Video and Audio Production Specialists to provide support to an Intelligence Community program in the Northern Virginia area. Job duties may include:

  • Create audio podcasts intended to be audio episodes covering a variety of educational and informational subject matter. The podcasts generally require either a recorded interview or series of interviews edited to turn interviews into a narrative story or news style report. Requires recording and editing equipment as well as sound effects and music. The podcasts will also require transcription.
  • Create long-form videos to include subject matter that requires lengthy explanation and/or on-camera interviews to adequately portray the objectives of the project. Production time for these videos can vary greatly depending on subject matter, research needed, availability of interviewees and subject matter experts and other production requirements and may take in excess of three (3) months to produce.
  • Create magazine-style videos around 5-7 minutes in length, focused on a single topic.
  • Create short-form videos taking less than one (1) month to create and deliver. Videos including events and/or on-camera presentations and photography support or organization of video shoots to record interviews and/or demonstrations of the subject matter. Experience with transcripts and editing for open or closed captioning. Develop: a) Posters/electronic posters b) Templates c) Fact sheets d) Organizational charts
  • Experience scriptwriting, b-roll footage, extensive graphics and compositing and original videography including in-studio production and professional voice-over or on-camera talent.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree and/or demonstrated professional experience in Video and Audio Production.
  • In addition to your production background, we are especially looking for individuals with videography experience, familiarity with Adobe Premiere and After Effects and awareness of audio recording best practices.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph required.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinating with internal and external customers to gather requirements for upcoming and ongoing projects.
  • Producing original content, including pitching, script writing and storyboarding of abstract ideas concepts.
  • Collaborating with production teammates (animators, graphic designers, audio engineers, web developers and other producers) to incorporate multimedia elements into video products.
  • Creating and adhering to customer facing production schedules.
  • Coordinating logistics for field and studio productions.
  • Producing concurrent multimedia pieces, some with tight deadlines.
  • Conducting well-researched interviews with SMEs to help shape stories and authenticate content.
  • Scouting locations for productions.
  • Locating and licensing appropriate b-roll and music.
  • Lighting, shooting, and editing content as part of our video production team.
  • Editing of multi-camera footage according to scripts and storyboards.
  • Filming interviews, events and b-roll in single camera or multi-camera configurations.
