About the Role

The Car Audio Ready Audio Intern will be working with a cross-functional HARMAN team of engineering, marketing, design and finance to define the automotive future of HARMAN's Automotive frameworks and audio technologies. They will work closely with engineering to learn HARMAN's newest technologies and develop a perspective on how each fits the design principles of HARMAN's Audio frameworks and technologies. They will get exposure to a widespread set of stakeholders about the core principles of bringing world-class products to market.

What You Will Do

  • Learn the new technologies, HARMAN's Audio framework, and Advanced audio technologies.

  • Analysis of market landscape - Audio Technologies, Trends and Competition

  • Discuss and share perspectives with a comprehensive set of stakeholders and incorporate feedback.

  • Participate in elaborating the marketing plan: positioning, key selling points, communication plan/timeline, and key performance indicators.

  • Work with finance to review pricing and evaluate the existing business model.

What You Need

  • Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited institution, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program

  • Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.

  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to interact and present information to senior leaders and executives confidently.

  • Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

  • Must be self-motivated and work independently and effectively as part of a team.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to work in an office in Novi, MI

  • Complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment

  • Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work.

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization.

  • Must provide full work availability from May 20, 2024, through August 9, 2024 and be able to work 40 hours per week depending on workload

What is Nice to Have

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Working knowledge of coursework in marketing, design thinking or finance

  • Interest in Product Management or Product Marketing

  • Interest in the audio or automotive industry
