Job Summary
Seeking PHP Developer to be responsible for providing development support for mission critical applicant and who has in-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming, understanding of MVC designs, and working knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3. The developer's primary responsibility will be supporting the code refactoring effort of the Oracle ADF application to the new PHP technology using the Laravel framework.
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and Business SMEs to confirm understanding of the business requirements.
  • Participate in the design and delivery of the system architecture to meet business needs and objectives.
  • Conduct analysis of application requirements and As-Is and To-Be design.
  • Coordinate with designers, administrators, project managers and other programmers to analyze system requirements to fulfill complex business processes.
  • Develop responsive web-applications using object-oriented PHP, Laravel, Git
  • Understand and use Design Patterns and make use of accepted PHP best practices.
  • Responsible for developing code for refactoring the existing Oracle ADF application.
  • Submit application deployments and support issues through lower level and production environments.
  • Execute Unit-Testing and support End-to-End testing of code.
  • Determine time estimates to complete tasks assigned through changes request and help desk tickets.
  • Develop the application according to design and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrate understanding and experience with information security requirements and practices.
  • Work independently and work with others in a team environment.
  • Knowledge and experience which demonstrates the ability to manage and organize tasks in such a way as to deliver quality products and meet critical deadlines.
  • Attend daily stand-up meetings to review progress and communicate any obstacles.
  • Adopt and maintain an agile test-driven development approach.
  • Examine and optimize the existing systems for increased performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot application and code issues.
  • Ensure that the best practices are maintained in all development.
Requirements:
  • 3 to 5 years of coding / designing experience in PHP Laravel
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in the PHP Laravel framework
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in the front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, and HTML5.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in developing RESTful web services using PHP
  • 3 to 5 years' experience (hands-on) with Linux/UNIX at the command-line
  • Proficient with working with Apache and analyzing log files
  • Previous experience creating scalable applications.
  • Proficient with code versioning tools including Git and SVN.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or information technology or related field.
