• Conduct field observations and obtain samples for testing, as needed in accordance with the project plans and specifications
• Document field observations by transmitting daily field reports detailing site activities
• You may also perform destructive and non-destructive testing on construction materials, including operating electric, pneumatic and power-actuated tools, aerial lifts performing ground penetrating radar (GPR) structural surveys, pavement condition surveys, and concrete sawing, coring, and chipping
• Work is generally performed at heights and may require safety equipment and training as provided by ECS
• Daily communication is required with site contractors, other technicians and project managers as well as supervisor
• Provided training: ECS will train candidates in our methodology to perform observations, inspections, and tests of building construction projects related to your position and to document findings in accordance with accepted engineering practice, but you should have a sound understanding of building construction practices
• As experience increases, ECS will encourage and aid technicians in increasing level of competence and skills through internal training programs and external programs of certification provided by ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, MARTCP, NICET, NRCA, IIBEC, State DOT, WACEL, and others, as appropriate

• High School diploma or GED

• 0-2 years of experience

• Position requires carrying 40 - 70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height

• Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - Mileage will be reimbursed
