Position:Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Neuro Intensive Care Unit
Shift: Full Time; Rotating

Location: University of Maryland Medical Center

The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Neuro ICU.

  • The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients in collaboration with physician colleagues.
  • The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) provides continuity of patient care by facilitating and coordinating communication between the health care team, the patient, and the patient's family.
  • The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) serves as a link, integrating relevant research and best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Master of Science degree, with completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program. Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland Board of Nursing, and certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the area of specialization.
  • A minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
  • Physician Assistant applicants must have successfully completed a PA program and obtain a Maryland PA license.
