Job Description
MedStar Medical Group Anesthesiology is seeking a nurse practitioner or physician assistant within Pre-Anesthesia Testing (PAT). The APP will be based in the District of Columbia or Baltimore region to support the MedStar Health system hospitals. In this role, the APP will provide clinical and professional medical services to patients prior to surgery. The APP will actively collaborate with PAT leadership, staff, anesthesia, surgeons, and hospital staff to efficiently optimize patients for surgery in a timely manner. The full-time schedule for this role will be Monday through Friday, 8hr days. This job excludes holidays, weekends, after-hour or call responsibilities.
Experienced advanced practice providers are preferred with at least five years or more APP experience. This is a great role for a primary-care or surgical APP to consider. Interested nurse practitioners can have FNP certification. Applicants with previous RN experience in PACU, Pre-Op, or Surgery are encouraged to apply as well.
