Position Summary
The University of Illinois College of Medicine/University of Illinois Health Department of Radiology seeks candidates for an open-rank faculty position in Neuroradiology.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • This position will provide clinical services at the primary academic and teaching hospital. Active engagement in teaching of medical students and residents in expected, as well as participating in quality improvement and value initiatives. Pursuit of research is strongly encouraged but not mandatory.
  • The University of Illinois Hospital is a 468-bed quaternary urban academic medical center with 1400 providers and over 1000 residents in all subspecialties. The UIC College of Medicine is the country's third largest medical school, and nearly one in six practicing physicians in the state of Illinois are graduates of the medical school or post-graduate training programs.
  • The Department offers an outstanding residency program with no fellows, to intentionally provide dedicated teaching specifically to residents. The Department also offers an elective resident/M.S. program in clinical and translational science, which is unique to the institution in the Midwest. The Department has recently focused on developing research programs in the basic, translational, and clinical realms. Although not mandatory, applicants with past or active research funding are invited to apply; the Department can offer a very generous start-up package, including protected research time and internal funding promising investigators.


  • Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications
    Qualified applicants will possess an MD/DO degree and must be by the American Board of Radiology with an ABR specialty certificate in Neuroradiology. If a recent graduate, the applicant must be board-eligible and neuroradiology fellowship trained. Academic rank depends on experience and qualifications.
