M9 Solutions is seeking aBusiness Analyst to work on a government contract for a client located inWashington, DC. An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.


Responsibilities

  • Support the project and its leadership by identifying, eliciting, and decomposing requirements.
  • Facilitate team and customer ceremonies and foster effective communication, both verbally and through written artifacts and documentation.
  • Analyze and understand business needs and translate into the governance artifacts and product backlog items.
  • Perform and assess courses of action by a variety of factors to include value, cost, feasibility, and risk.
  • Perform estimation and complexity assessments of customer IT requests.
  • Create and manage conceptual delivery schedules and product roadmaps.
  • Generate and manage artifacts, knowledge bases andevidence generation/submission.
  • Assist in test planning and management.
  • Facilitate and refine team level ceremonies.
  • Identify, map, and track dependencies internal and external to the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient product development and delivery.
  • Utilize product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and M365 to accomplish daily duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Work Authorization: US Citizenship is required.
  • An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and of popular backend and frontend technologies.
  • 2+ years of experience working on, or in direct support of a software development team or in an enterprise architecture organization.
  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Cloud environments, particularly AWS.
  • Experience with Confluence, Jira, and Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Experience in backlog management, including epic, feature, user story development, and refinement.
  • Experience with project cost estimations, project planning, solutions focused, presentations, reporting, project management, technical documentation, cross-functional teamwork, enterprise architecture, business enterprise architecture, product backlog management, Agile Scrum, dependency management, change and risk management, AWS, requirements elicitation, and user research.
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with team members.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Familiarity and experience with the intelligence community and the intel cycle.
  • Experience with cyber security authorization processes.
  • Experience operating within the full software development lifecycle.
  • Strong track record of successfully supporting the delivery of valuable software products.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
  • Knowledge of user research methodologies and the ability to derive actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in additional project management and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience
  • Cloud budgeting and forecasting experience.

Full-Time Employee Compensation

  • M9 Solutions' pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, responsibilities of the position, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, location, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
