JOB SUMMARY:
This Administrative/Executive Assistant provides secretarial and administrative support to the Director of Ancillary Services and the Managers/Supervisors of Ancillary Services, as needed. Prepares correspondence, schedules meetings, constructs minutes, and maintains director's calendar and assigned managers, and maintains routine records, and files in an efficient manner. Under general supervision, performs clerical support duties including but not limited to transcription of Pulmonary Diagnostics, document preparation, ordering supplies, maintaining files and records (archiving), and assistance with daily Respiratory Care charges. Looks for innovative ways to improve work procedures and methods that primarily result in time and cost savings. Work requires collaboration with both internal and external contacts in order to complete job duties, resolve problems, and improve efficiency within the Ancillary Services departments. Communication with external contacts is required to provide or gather information, handle routine transactions and provide information.
Hours: Monday through Friday - 8:30 - 5:00 p.m.
Location: Howard County General Hospital, Columbia, MD. This job is 100% ON-SITE.
