Job SummaryThe National Trust for Historic Preservation invites applications for the 2024-2025 Silman Fellow for Preservation Engineering. This 12-month fellowship provides a recent graduate with the opportunity to work on various restoration, rehabilitation, and preservation projects at the Trust's 27 sites nationwide, and to work at TYLin's Silman Structural Solutions practice in-person as a structural engineer.The Silman Fellow is required to complete a deliverable for the benefit to the field of historic preservation that is suitable for presentation and/or publication. Upon successful completion of the Fellowship, the Fellow will continue as a full-time TYLin employee.

Qualifications:
B.S. in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering
M.S. or M.A. in Historic Preservation or M.S. in Structural or ArchitecturalEngineering with an academic background in historic preservation is required
Willingness and ability to travel nationwide
Demonstrated professional interest in historic preservation
Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions
Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges
High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way
