Primary Purpose

The Company's sustainability team, in collaboration with the Senior Business Analyst, drives the company's sustainability strategy and objectives. They ensure alignment across the organization and provide stakeholders with detailed annual reports and inventory management plans that highlight the company's proactive approach to managing environmental, social, and governance risks and opportunities. This approach aims to enhance performance and create long-term value.

The team also collaborates with various Company Operating Companies to manage annual GHG emissions results and track progress towards the 2050 net-zero goal, adhering to both existing and emerging regulatory requirements. The Senior Business Analyst plays a crucial role in examining ESG trends and staying updated with ESG regulations/policies at local (CA, TX), national, and global levels that can impact the Company's position as a global leader in ESG.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Business Analyst supports technology-related process improvement projects within the Corporate Sustainability organization. They are tasked with understanding end-to-end business requirements through engagement across the organization while maintaining a balance between risk and controls.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the data gathering of corporate sustainability data for our yearly Corporate Sustainability report, utilizing Intelex as the primary tool for data collection.
  • Manage the Intelex system as the Administrator, providing support to various teams throughout the organization.
  • Drive the implementation of business solutions by developing solutions either individually or in collaboration with others.
  • Master new technologies and apply this knowledge in the development of business solutions.
  • Implement governance in the areas of data management and process improvements.
  • Develop comprehensive business requirement documentation, including scope matrix, use cases, process flow diagrams, and future state proposals.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, integrity, and overall quality of sustainability-related data by implementing controls and leading the review of supporting documentation.
  • Participate in risk assessment, suggesting operational improvements or reinforcing business controls, and collaborate with 3rd party assessment teams.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to monitor performance against sustainability goals and KPIs
  • Provide strategic analytical support to the organization's strategy development efforts, including market, regulatory, and technology assessments. Identify, compile, and communicate key issues to executive management.
  • Manage the development and implementation of the GHG Emissions methodology, Inventory Management Plan, and Scopes 1, 2, and 3, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
