The HSC Health Care System is a nonprofit organization combining the resources of a care coordination plan; (Health Services for Children with Special Needs, Inc.), pediatric specialty hospital (The HSC Pediatric Center), home health agency (HSC Home Care, LLC), and parent foundation (The HSC Foundation) to offer a comprehensive approach to caring, serving and empowering people with disabilities. The HSC team of 750 employees and more than 100 volunteers together serve children and young adults with special health care needs and their families at our District of Columbia and Maryland locations.

POSITION SUMMARY
The feeding therapist will participate in multidisciplinary and individual evaluations and will provide a full range of individual and group diagnostic and rehabilitative services in accordance with the accepted speech-language pathology or occupational therapy national standards. He/she will comply with documentation and other facility requirements in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and company policies.
Minimum Education
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) accredited institution. (Required)
Minimum Work Experience
1 year Evaluating and treating dysphagia and feeding disorders (1 year required, 2 years preferred)
Required Licenses and Certifications
Current/eligible for District of Columbia licensure for Speech-Language Pathology or Occupational Therapy. (Required)
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (Required) Or
Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). (Required)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association. (Required)
