The UCSB Central Coast Community Labor Project invites applications for the position of Academic Coordinator.
The Academic Coordinator is supervised by the Community Labor Project Executive Director and will liaise with the Blum Center on Poverty, Inequality, and Democracy, ISBER (Institute for Social, Behavioral, and Economic Research), the Offices of the Deans of Social Sciences and Humanities and Fine Arts, and academic departments that share responsibility for administering and staffing the interdisciplinary minor in Labor Studies. The position provides administrative and program support for the Central Coast Community Labor Project's curricular, research, and communication/public outreach activities, as well as its overall management, as follows:
Academic Programming
Research Development/Administration
Labor Summer Program
Public Programming/Communication/Outreach
General Management
This position requires demonstrated superior professional ability and outstanding accomplishments in job-related activities. The university is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service as appropriate to the position.
Applicants must have completed a Bachelors degree in the social sciences, humanities, or related interdisciplinary field at the time of application.
