Overview:

Inovalon is seeking a Real World Data (RWD) & Solutions Sales Director to join the Insights, Data Solution Sales Team focused on top 20 Pharma/Life Sciences/HEOR orgs. The team consults with our customers to create data-driven insights, solutions, and evidence strategies. This position will be responsible for management, business development, and administrative tasks related to the ongoing operation and growth of established, emerging, and new client accounts and licensing healthcare data and data related offerings to Life Sciences companies and other targeted accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as account lead and primary senior relationship/business development liaison for assigned accounts and high-priority accounts;
  • Responsible for maintaining and growing business in assigned and emerging accounts;
  • Create a strategic business development plan that incorporates market intelligence and internal coordination to target functional areas and/or buying centers in life sciences companies;
  • Contribute substantively to client relationships and project deliverables by offering executive-level insights and subject matter expertise that brings value to the client relationship;
  • Establish and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients to facilitate top level buy-in and engagement;
  • Serve as senior advocate for clients and prospective clients and collaborates with SMEs across the firm to identify and provide solutions to key accounts;
  • Organize pursuit teams; contribute to and lead aspects of the proposal development process;
  • Contribute to the development of pricing strategies;
  • Utilize advanced healthcare knowledge and consulting acumen to translate policy and healthcare developments into project ideas and opportunities;
  • Provide oversight on project work within specific buying centers including directing timely, quality delivery of work products and managing engagement financial considerations and engagement risks;
  • Coordinate lead generation and direct execution of business development goals to maintain robust pipeline;
  • Conduct tailored demonstrations of products in the context of past/existing work streams;
  • Lead the development of business development collateral (pitch decks, etc.);
  • Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement;
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum five (5) years' professional experience working with consultative sales experience preferred;
  • Minimum five (3) years' professional experience working with senior-level executives; prior consultative sales experience preferred;
  • Must have experience selling RWD/RWE (Closed Claims Data) in the Life Sciences space;
  • Advanced healthcare and stakeholder knowledge;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications with highly professional presence, and the ability to interact with board and C-level executives;
  • Experience in preparing high-quality documents for executive-level audiences;
  • Demonstrated openness to feedback and learning, and a willingness to coach and teach others;
  • Commitment to working in a team environment with an emphasis on collaboration and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and clients to achieve solutions-oriented goals;
  • Proactive mindset and approach with ability to anticipate client conversations, teammates' needs, and identify process improvements;
  • Fluent in healthcare policy and business strategy and ability to work across various healthcare subject matter areas;
  • Demonstrated flexibility in a fast-paced environment;
  • Advanced multi-tasking skills with ability to effectively prioritize work streams while managing deadlines; ability to execute and resolve action items in a timely manner; and
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or verifiable work history carrying a quota in this space; Master's degree a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time);
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
  • Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Base Compensation Range
$104,800$175,000 USD
